This page is to celebrate the life of Maurice Bowman of Crindledyke Farm, Kirkoswald, a wonderful family man with a larger than life character, dedicated farmer with time for anyone who will be missed by so many. 

Maurice was Husband to Pat, Father to Claire, Mark & Anna, Father in law to Neil, Julie & Yannick, Grandad to Connie, Henry, Arthur, Jack, Thomas, Harvey & Polly, a dear brother and friend to many.

Maurice lived at Crindledyke Farm his whole life, farming Beef, Sheep and Arable alongside his father Arthur, brother Tom and son Mark. He was a well known member of the local farming community playing major roles in Penrith Agricultural Society, Penrith Auction Mart and Penrith Farmers & Kidds. He also loved watching Penrith & Carlisle Rugby Club play and was always up for a good time lighting up any room with his laughter and sense of humour. 

We have decided as a family to raise money for the Eden Valley Hospice who cared for Maurice with so much compassion  during his final days, as well as supporting us as a family. The hospice is an invaluable asset to the area and we’d like to say thank you.

We all have so many amazing memories of Maurice, but would love you to share any photos and memories you have of Maurice on this page too.
